GAME 4: USA v Argentina

We are getting into a game day routine even though our game times change from day to day.  We’ve played at 4:15, then 6:45, and yesterday at 2:15.  Today we play Argentina so and have the last game at 9:00.  The arena will be loud tonight with host Argentina fans there to cheer them on.  The routine includes breakfast, team meeting for films, practice, lunch, pre game meal, uniform pick up, team meeting, depart for the game, GAME time, then dinner back at the hotel.

The top two of each pool now play each other in the medal round.  Argentina was second in their pool to Canada so we will play them, as we are first in our pool with Puerto Rico second.  The other four teams will play out 5^th-8^th place.  

Win 4 in the books!  Way to go Team USA!

Game 2: USA v Dom Republic

There are four teams in our pool and we will play the other three to determine who goes on to the medal round with cross pool play.  In our pool are USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Mexico. Today we play Dominican Republic and tomorrow Mexico.

Thanks to Samson Kayode, USAB Team Leader, we are given a schedule with the day’s times, places, etc.  Here’s our schedule for today:   

9:00 depart for gym,  

 9:30 – 10:30 shoot around in the arena, 

12:15 pregame meal, 

3:00 team meeting, 3:15 depart for the gym,

OPENING CEREMONIES
All eight teams were marched in and introduced tonight at the opening ceremonies. Dignitaries were introduced and spoke.  Dancing and drumming followed to display some of Argentina’s culture.  

ONLY in Argentina.  Several stray dogs were in the arena.
